On 25 January 2008 Elpi was floated on the Euronext Paris Marché Libre by means of an initial public offering, with the price of the shares fixed at 4.38 Euros. After a few hours, all the shares had been sold and the price had gone up by 30%.

The operation, conducted by the leader in stock market flotations Europe Finance et Industrie (EFI), continues the policy of building up Elpi, after its recent pre-IPO increase in capital.
